SUMMARY: As of March 31, 2004, a total of 60.694 acre-feet (17%) of the Paralta Well allocation remained available for use. This total includes 59.606 acre-feet of water remaining for use by the jurisdictions, and 1.088 acre-feet of water in the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District (District) Reserve.

22-A shows the amount of water allocated to each jurisdiction from
the Paralta Well Allocation, the quantities permitted in March 2004
(“changes”), and the quantities remaining.
The Paralta Allocation was debited 0.728 acre-feet during March
2004.
Exhibit 22-A also shows additional water credits available to each of the jurisdictions and the information regarding the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, Quail Meadows, Pebble Beach Company, Macomber Estates, Griffin Trust, and Water West water allocations. Any additional water credits for expired or canceled permits that were issued before January 1991 are shown as “PRE-Paralta Credits.” Water credits used from a jurisdiction’s “public credit” account are also listed. Transfers of commercial water credits into a jurisdiction’s allocation are included as “public credits.”

BACKGROUND: The District’s Water Allocation Program, associated resource system supply limits, and jurisdictional allocations have been modified by a number of key ordinances. These key ordinances are listed in Exhibit 22-B.
